Susan Denham-Collins once again brings her expertise for your disposal during our 2018 Fall Forum.  Be a part of this half day conference to ask questions and learn the in's and out's of FMLA.

The FMLA allows employees to:

  • balance the demands of their work and family lives;
  • it promotes the economic security of families and helps to preserve family integrity by allowing eligible employees to take unpaid leave for certain family or medical reasons.
The FMLA seeks to accomplish its goals in a manner that accommodates the legitimate interests of employers and that is consistent with the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment in minimizing the potential for employment discrimination.

Because both employees and employers have rights and responsibilities under the law, effective communication between the employer and the employee is critical at all stages of FMLA leave.  Effective communication is instrumental in minimizing the chances of inadvertent violations, litigation, or intervention by the Wage and Hour Division.

Registration at 8:30, with meeting beginning at 9:00.

Lunch will be served @ 12:00.
